Suck gravel into the "Super-Syphon"    and release it away from the area you wish to make into a hole.

First dig a hole.  Then set the "Plant Anchor"  with plant connected to it it into the hole.  Finally syphon up the
previously displaced gravel and release it onto the "Plant Anchor", effectively burrying the "Plant Anchor".
